Last minute shortage of Brixham lottery tickets

Brixham Lottery outlets are reporting increasing sales as the draw draws closer to 7:30 p.m. on October 6 at Birdcage Public House, New Road (across from City Hall).

The Brixham Lottery has already delivered some great prizes, including a Spitfire flight (543 tickets sold), a luxury cruise for two (345 tickets sold), an electric bike (331 tickets sold), or thousands of pounds of alternative cash prizes. The latest prize is £ 1,000 or National Trust Lifetime Membership which is proving very popular.

The Brixham Lottery spokesman said: “There is no need to panic buying as some will still be available in local stores for the next few days.

“People know that our lottery tickets are a great alternative to regular tickets for any occasion. Plus, locals are seeing the results with new local murals, flower arrangements, small projects, and planned future free public celebrations. One hundred percent of the generated income goes to a local project or a good cause.

There are still a few tickets left in a variety of local stores on Middle Street at the Flour Flower Cafe & Florist; Shell colors from Brixham Art Shop; Chris Slack Photography; or Fore Street Dobles Jewelers; Trinity Cakes or the Chart Room (Foundary Court).

Brixham Lottery promoter John Brennan said: “ The secret of our local lottery success has been that very few tickets are sold so people know they have a good chance. In the national lottery it’s 1 in 45 million.

“People see where the money goes for local projects like murals. Even if you don’t win, you can benefit from it on the spot.

“When people buy multiple ticket cards for family and friends, they increase their chances dramatically – probably the best panic buying if your money goes on.”
