Flagship store opens in Sylvan Beach on Friday


SYLVAN BEACH – Sylvan Beach Supply Co., the flagship store and cafe of The Cove at Sylvan Beach, will open to the public on Friday, May 27 ahead of The Cove’s grand opening next month.

“With a huge selection of lake activity rentals including pontoon, fishing, ski, jet and deck boats, canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, bikes and fishing gear, a delicious menu with incredible ice cream offerings and everything needed to enjoy im Summer in upstate New York there is no destination like The Cove’s Sylvan Beach Supply Co. on Oneida Lake or in the region,” officials from Oneida Indian Nation Enterprise said.

Officials added that the new vacation rental community and its flagship store will meet the same award-winning standards found in Oneida Nation Enterprises properties and provide the unique guest experience that the Oneida Indian Nation has become known for.

“The Cove at Sylvan Beach combines the best of Sylvan Beach with the guest service we’ve perfected at hotels like Turning Stone Resort Casino to create a unique destination that is redefining the New York State vacation experience,” said Ray Halbritter, Oneida Indian Nation Representative and CEO of Oneida Nation Enterprises. “We are excited to offer visitors the opportunity to preview this experience by opening Sylvan Beach Supply Co. to the public ahead of The Cove’s official opening and showcasing our ongoing investments in the New York state tourism economy .”

Lake Activity Rentals As The Cove’s flagship store, Sylvan Beach Supply Co. will offer guests a wide variety of rentals to explore Oneida Lake, New York’s largest lake.

Rental offerings for day visitors and overnight guests at The Cove include:

– pontoon, deck, ski, jet and fishing boats;



-paddle boards;

– water bikes;


-fishing equipment;

Sylvan Beach Supply Co. Café Guests can pull their boats up and dock right in front of the Sylvan Beach Supply Co. and grab a sundae, cone or burger at the store’s café. The menu is also packed with sandwiches, snacks, and a variety of ice cream options, including the most elaborate sundaes: Breezy Berry Cobbler, SOS Mint, Campfire, and more.

The café also offers a selection of milkshakes: classic flavors – chocolate, vanilla and strawberry; frozen hot chocolate; Cherry cheesecake and creme brulee.

With indoor and outdoor seating, guests are invited to dock their boats at Sylvan Beach Supply Co. There is a limited number of boat slips where guests can dock.

The candy wall

Sylvan Beach Supply Co. also houses one of the largest candy walls in upstate New York, with a literal ton — 2,000 pounds — of candy, including nearly 80 different varieties. Featuring chocolate, peanut butter, toffee, candy and fourteen flavors of jelly beans, the Candy Wall is the perfect place for kids of all ages to satisfy their sweet tooth this summer – and a great photo opportunity.

When The Cove opens next month, it will welcome guests with 70 modern two- and three-bedroom cottages. The new $35 million lakefront vacation home will showcase the best of Upstate New York with beautifully appointed accommodations featuring fully equipped eat-in kitchens, gas grills, fireplaces and other amenities.

Each week-long cottage rental at The Cove also includes a pontoon boat and special boat slip, allowing guests to enjoy fishing, water sports and cruising on Oneida Lake. Holiday homes are filling up quickly but there is still accommodation available at The Cove for this summer.
