The luxury cruise ship Seven Seas Splendor is kicking off its inaugural festival season at sea and Channel 5’s cameras have been left on board for an hour-long Christmas Eve documentary that reveals the secrets behind the scenes while the 542 crew works around the clock to ensure that the guests have a magical time.

Under the direction of Cruise Director John Barron, the crew gives the ship a breathtaking Christmas makeover with 70 decoration boxes, erects three Christmas trees in the atrium and 15 trees in the rest of the ship. There is also a 60-foot garland wrapped around the central staircase.
