Burnley appears poised to take a real leap into FA Cup glory this season, looking to beat Bournemouth on Turf Moor.
The Clarets convinced 3-0 in Fulham in round four and have played with recognition in the Premier League since that game.
Their opponents are more interested in getting back to the top division so 13/10 for a home win is our first prediction between Burnley and Bournemouth.
A look at Burnley’s betting odds
Burnley followed up the Craven Cottage Cup game by beating Aston Villa 3-2 at the location before finding Chelsea and Manchester City understandably too strong.
Saturday’s 1-1 draw against a formidable Brighton team was another solid performance that kept Sean Dyche’s side eight points from the drop zone.
Dyche was pleased with the overall performance against Albion, especially with a more focused performance after half time.
He said, “I don’t think there would have been too many people who would be upset if we had two or three with the quality we had in the future.
“We have to keep doing that because that’s one of the things we’ve been questioning this season.
“This freedom to go and attack, as we did in the second half, we have to continue with this mentality and find that balance.”
Maintaining a positive approach would mean 27/20 for the hosts scoring more than once against Burnley’s odds against Bournemouth.
A look at Bournemouth’s betting odds
Bournemouth enjoyed a nice 4-1 win over Oldham in round three and then survived a tougher test against Crawley with a 2-1 win.
However, those results were not enough to save manager Jason Tindall from his sack after four straight defeats in the championship.
Jonathan Woodgate took over first-team affairs at the weekend for a welcome 3-2 win over Birmingham that kept them sixth on the table.
“My job was to fight Birmingham and that was it,” said Woodgate. “I just wanted to get three points and it doesn’t matter how you get them.
“You can talk about philosophies and this forever, but if you don’t get results, you’re not at the job.”
It was far from convincing, however, against a team that are now in the top three as the Cherries made an unfortunate defense.
Bournemouth are capable of playing good football in the future but we believe that with Burnley’s physicality in defense they will have a hard time coping with them.
Let’s go 15/4 for a home win and both teams score to end our Burnley vs Bournemouth betting tips.
BURNLEY 1-1 Brighton – Johann Berg Gudmundsson
BOURNEMOUTH 3-2 Birmingham – Arnaut Groeneveld, Jack Wilshere, Philip Billing
Head to head: Burnley 3-0 Bournemouth, Bournemouth 0-1 Burnley, Bournemouth 1-3 Burnley, Burnley 4-0 Bournemouth
