Atlas Ocean Voyages announced that it will now offer its voyages independently of air travel and shore excursions, beginning with bookings from February 15, 2022, for departures from April 24, 2022 and beyond.
“Our customer does not want to know when and where they are flying and which tours they want to take,” said Alberto Aliberti, President, noting the feedback over the company’s first five months of operation.
The changes will allow the luxury company to adjust cruise fares, cutting ticket prices by about 15 percent on average.
“In some cases it could be many more,” Aliberti said Cruise industry news.
Instead, with World Navigator, the new brand is launching an enhanced shore excursion program for its European summer, with tours with lower minimum occupancy and a greater focus on private tours.
“The difference is the low minimum number of participants, we will not cancel tours that take place on small vessels,” added Aliberti.
“We also leverage the resources of free tours (which the line previously offered) and host a special event on each cruise,” he said. “Whether it’s a foodie experience, a cultural experience, or something active.”
Existing booked passengers will be contacted by Atlas and given the choice to continue with their included shore excursions or receive credit towards other tour options.
In terms of flights, Atlas will offer flight bookings with classes of service and the flexibility to use frequent flyer miles when a guest chooses to book flights through the company.
